What is CPHIT?
The Center for Public Health and Illicit Trade (CPHIT) is a campaign driven by civil society activists and health experts, dedicated to promoting public health and combating illicit trade in Pakistan. Recognizing the devastating impact of illicit trade on public health, economy, and society, CPHIT aims to advocate for evidence-based policies and legislation to prevent the harmful effects of illicit trade, including tobacco, pharmaceuticals, and other products. With a focus on protecting public health and promoting economic stability, CPHIT seeks to expose and counter the tactics of lobby groups and special interest groups that hinder progress toward a healthier and more prosperous Pakistan. Through research, advocacy, and community engagement, CPHIT strives to create a safer and healthier future for all Pakistanis.
